| Re: For all you BUSA fans w/ $195k to spend ! That is a nice motorcycle... For that price do you get the whole race team to work on it??
And why would a website be included in the price of the performance investment of the bike? I think they are trying to recoop some man hours and labor in that price.
Too much $ if you ask me. |

| Re: For all you BUSA fans w/ $195k to spend ! Local boy Rad Greaves is very fast, but he's even better at self promotion. Remember the spotter for Mladin who kept showing up on TV , getting rides back to the pits waving the Yosh / Suz flag?
That's our guy. |

| Re: For all you BUSA fans w/ $195k to spend ! I read an article on that bike a few months ago. I think it was in Cycle World. It sounded like an amazing machine, but not 200K amazing, and certainly not 1KK amazing. With a price tag like that, it appears more a farce than a real attempt at a sale. |

| Re: For all you BUSA fans w/ $195k to spend ! I have raced against that bike at least 5 times. The costs he is touting are for the Suzuki/Yoshimura development of the bike as an alternative FX bike to the GSXR1K. To say the bike is fast is a severe understatement. To say that it's reliable is a joke. It held the track record at Grattan for about 4 months a couple of years ago, but was broken by Larry Denning on an R6 ( ).
The most memorable event I remember about this bike was during H/W GLRRA practice in 01 when Rad and I came onto the straight with me in front. He came by at start/finish on 1 wheel in 3rd gear waving at me with his left hand. He carried the near vertical wheely all the way into turn 1. |

| Re: For all you BUSA fans w/ $195k to spend ! In the early days of that bike's campaign ( when it was only worth, say, $50,000...) Rad was at a fab shop next to me wanting to get the swingarm lengthened. I saw him struggle with turn-in at Mid Ohio the week before, and wondered why lengthening the wheelbase of the bike would make it handle better? He showed me where the tire had elongated under high speed conditions and had rubbed against the inner edge of the swingarm. It was a problem that would never have crossed my mind as a possibility.. |

| It's very common with the newer slicks. The chain is also very close to a 195 slick, mine would sometimes take a bit of the tread out. |

| Re: For all you BUSA fans w/ $195k to spend ! No biggie. You gotta really watch the center of the tire, that grows the most, and it's the part that'll cut the easiest. When that happens at speed... |

If you want to overspend on a bike that can't win a title, why not just buy the Graves R1 and save a ton of money? |

| You just have to meet Rad to appreciate the entire debacle. He could wangle sponsorship from the local Baptist Church, the Apache Indians, Rich Oliver . . . you name it, he got some money or parts or hype from it. |

Yeah I know Greaves is a great self marketer, I was just joking around about buying the bike. |

| Re: For all you BUSA fans w/ $195k to spend ! GPS system? on a race bike? Are race tracks becoming that hard to navigate?
Clearly, this is Rossi's advantage over the others this year! He has the best GPS - it's accurate to within 3inches - the others have GPS systems accurate to only 4 feet - they could overshoot a corner before the GPS realises there is a turn!!! The humanity!!!
