It depends on how the handle bars attach to the forks now - are they clip ons or are there two brackets holding a bar in the middle?

Removing the fairing is easy, but don't forget it might be hiding such things as the coolant bottle and loads of ugly wiring. You may need to fabricate a bracket to attach the new headlamp but it shouldn't be too hard if you are not scared of lifting a few spanners etc.

well here is the pic of the bike. fairing is ugly. and i want twin headlights. and also would like to replace the bars. can kindof see them hear. they are attached to the forks seperatly, two small metal peaces attached to two small weard shaped clamps. its pretty weard. i want mx bars darnit, and smaller, nicer sounding exsaust.

There is a way of being able to clamp bars onto your bike instead of clip - ons but you will need to attach clamps some how. (I think people weld the clamps onto the top of the forks but you will have to do some research regarding that)

The top fairing should come off easily but I believe the indicators would be attached to it (so maybe a new set of smaller ones/LEDs etc might tidy it up?). You may have to fabricate brackets to allow for the headlamps to fit.

Don't forget the top fairing will be hiding quite a bit so you may have to relocate a lot of it.

Good Luck

What you need is the stock headlight and mounting brackets from either a GS700E or GS750E those are the standard variants of your bike with the 7 inch round headlight. I'd be interested in your old upper fairing bracket and headlight for rebuilding my GS700ES.
You can contact me through my website at uv99 | laser light shows.
Thanks,
Skipp
