RC51 Trade WANTED

I have a 2000 RC51 with 10,xxx miles and I'm looking to trade. The reason for the trade is that the RC is much more track focused machine than I realized when i bought it.

I would love to stay on a honda but will look at trades for other brands to. The bikes i'm interested in are 929/954, R1, GSXR 750/1000

Good luck with that. I love my RC but my next bike was goin to be an 08 1000RR until i saw the new 08 eesh thats ugly. Your better off selling your RC cuz more track oriented or not the inline fours are just lots faster. Even though most riders do not need the power and cannot ride to the bikes potential, will not trade down in power.

thanks for the good wishes man, i think i have a few options. one of them is a 954 that is in great condition the other is a 03 hayabusa. I know honda people are going to hate that.

if the 51 is too track oriented for you, then a 929 or a 954 would probably be the most ergonomically pleasing for you.

you get the trunk space. good power, good looks, good pillion seat for 2 up riding, and you can still count on the honda reliability.

# of previous owners, maintenance history, mods, ever been down?

2 previous owners, 1st owner was honda technician, 2nd owner bought it for his son who never rode it. i didnt keep reciepts for maintenance but 1st owner did all work himself and i have put 4k on it since i've had it and i got the oil changed after 2500. The bike has the flapper mod, and a high mount Harris Racing exhaust, tinted windcreen, flush mount signals on rear, the bike has never been down and in very good condition for a 2000.

03 Third owner 11k miles on it first owner put 500 on it second owner put 2200 on it and changed the oil twice. Been down once 10mph highside replaced the upper and right hand cowls and right hand mirror. Remainder of the mileage is mine not stunted or abused but I have ridden the snot out of it
regular maintence repsol full synth and filter every 2000 to 3000 miles

Jardine RT-1 bolt on race core
Hot bodies under tail
moto teck flush mounts up front
Puig smoked double bubble
GPR damper.
replaced guages 4000 miles back left out in sun melted speedo needle.
OEM solo cowl.
Galfer stainless front lines.
EBC Pads

Extra's I have

Track plastics
Corbin seat
Stock can, dented Yoshimura can for trackdays
Old gauge cluster with kinda melted plastic bit in center of speedo needle
Vortex clipons
Stock passenger seat cowl
Passenger foot pegs and brackets
New frame sliders.

I have family out that way somewhere.

Would be a good excuse to take a vacation and see my cousin.

Lemme talk to some people who have had both, I have a riding buddy here who has one lemme see if I can cadge a ride on his bike this week. If I really like it we'll talk.

I found another forum where he stated he sold the bike in April and was preparing to buy a 954.
