 | 01 CBR929 black rims for...... I am looking into getting a set of chrome rims for my 929. So I will have no use for my black (graphite)ones. They look in good shape(they are still connected to the bike) I am going to take them separate from the bike this weekend and go over them thoroughly and take pics to show them(will be posted as soon as they are taken). Just wanted to see if anyone is looking for a set and has anything to trade. I have no idea what to ask for a price so I figured I'd put it in the swap section(if I had to say a price i'd say aaround 250 shipped just as somewhere to start). They will be just bare rims, bearings are possible if I don't need them) no rotors no tires etc. Edit the rear "may" include a near worn out tire as I doubt i will want to pay to have it removed. It's in good shape the guy i got the bike from said they we're powder coated (i cant say they are cuz i didnt do it looks like it though) there is a small ding on the edge but my camera wouldnt pick it up and there is a small bend i took a pic but again my camera would barley show it( i imagine it could go right back out with a rubber mallet, I would do it but just don't feel like messing with it). Holds air great i wont be able to take a shot of the front rim as I am on baby watch for my wife to go shopping. Last edited by on1wheel01 : 09-02-2009 at 11:35 PM. |

| Re: 01 CBR929 black rims for...... Ok here is the front rim. Like the rear it has a ever so slight bend in the lip. I have out lined it with white marks as you see in the photo. Holds air fine with no problems should be a easy fix with a rubber mallet. Only reason I don't keep em is I am looking at a set of chrome ones. The rim is dirty and needs to be cleaned also. |
