| CBR 929 motors... Looking for 929 engine parts? I have two motors: one suffered bleach in the gas tank, but with cleaning it will be good. The other was a screwed E-bay deal, and has a broken wrist pin. Both motors currently have their heads off, but all parts are there.
I also have the throttle bodies for them. And I have a box of mis. parts, such as wiring harnesses, a header, and various others.
Make me an offer...there are easily over $1,000 worth of hard-to-find 929 parts in here. I'm open to cash offers and trades. I'm building up a 98 CBR F3 for the track, so any F3 parts would be considered. I'm not looking to make money, but clear some room out in the garage. Offer me something; I'm also looking for motorcycle riding gear, especially for the track (full suits, jackets, gloves, boots, etc.)I also play guitar.
I also have a brand-new Edelbrock 750 carb and an aftermarket ignition for a Mustang. Just mentioning them. |

| Re: CBR 929 motors... cylinders look fine from above...i didn't rip the pistons out; the whole block is still together expect for the head being off. And also, there is a slight weld by the stator cover. It's OK, but I'd have it redone just to make sure.
The best thing to do would be either use all the parts, or use the bleach block after it is cleaned. the only thing wrong besides the cleaning of the block and head is it will need new pistons and the head will need new valves. Bleach works fast on these motors....but the tranny and everything else are still in great working order. |

| Re: CBR 929 motors... Well the cases on the motor that was a victim of bleach are perfect, no cracks. The other motor, as stated, has a crack that was repaired by the Ahole who ripped me off on Ebay and didn't disclose that information. But, with the right welder those cases will also be good.
PM me and I'll give you my number; I'm located in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Wilkes-Barre (area code 18702). I'm up for any offers. Actually, if you were closer, I'm willing to give all the motors away for $600 or OBO, due to I have a guy waiting on me for additional cash for a great bike he's holding for me because I'm doing some freelance (writing) work for him.
Thanks. |
