clean-up?

Got the bike ready for the long ride and wouldn't you know it I got chain lube all over the rear wheel. What is a good clean-up for this? Seems what ever I use just smears and makes a bigger mess. My real concern is not damaging the paint.

Re: clean-up?

I normally just use kerosine quickly then give it a quick wipe with polish. It has never damaged the paint on mine. If you don't have any kerosine you could try WD-40 or CRC as I think these are kerosine based products too.

Re: clean-up?

You got chain lube all over the rear wheel, or just the rear tail, swingarm, etc...

Re: clean-up?

A little wd-40 takes it off. Don't spray it on the rim as it might get on the rotors. Use a cloth.
