Mine is an older one and is slightly different than bwhip's - which I assume is newer and the same as yours. |

Does yours have the steel loop welded on down low between the front uprights? What's that for? |

| Re: Yet Another Baxley Sport Chock Review I bet the little lock had fallen into place while the chock was open...keeping it from closing all the way....

Nope the lock was not set which likely would have prevented it.
I believe the bike was applying a torque to the device by my poor alignment and spun the chock which then rotated down (not locked) and released and spit out and away from the bike. A guess, as it happened in the middle of the night.

| Re: Yet Another Baxley Sport Chock Review Maybe a misunderstanding...was the lock keeping the chock from clamping in place maybe? This can happen if it falls down while the chock is open...everything looks cool, but the chock isn't rolled past center and heinous things can happen...

This was fine and in the stand for 3 days fine (luckily the RR was not nearby). But I do remember it being cocked left a bit (bad habit of mine).

A guess, as it happened in the middle of the night. | I would imagine that a vertical torque on the check would prevent the tire from becoming fully engaged in the mechanism...
I have been doing the "jiggle" check everytime I leave it. Giving it a good shake to make sure it is secure. I have no idea if that actually does anything however |
