Re: What type Brake Controller should I get???

Ok, I'm bringing this one back! I found some good info in this thread, but have a question... Does anyone know if there's a plug-in harness for a '99 Mountaineer? etrailer.com doesn't show one for the Mountaineer until '02. Looking for easy at this point. After Barber, I suppose I could find the time to actually wire something in, but....

The stuff we were discussing has it built into the computer of the vehicle. Thus it is proportional to the vehicle brakes. A 99 Mitsubishi may not have had this feaure from the factory (Check the owners manual on towing and it should have info.

It's a Mercury (equivalent to the Explorer). It has the tow package, but my research isn't showing much more than the 4-pin plug... Probably end up hard-wiring in to the electrical system.
