well after a few weeks of using the trailer I can def see where some additional ventilation is neccessary LOL... with it being all black and NO vents it's a scortcher inside

good news and bad news...

bad news is a girl on a 4 wheeler hit me broadside (trying to cut across a main road and beat traffic) ... first the side of my suburban and then the trailer.... this was while I was heading out for the Fireblades event...

Repair cost to Suburban... over 3K

Repair cost to Trailer... still waiting for..

Good news is since I was not at fault Insurance will cover it all no deductable... and the trailer damage was minimal (just the aluminum fender over the doubel axle on the right side) BUT while it is getting this done I'll be having them install some vents on both sides and MAYBE a couple roof vents.. worried about them leaking... and with the inside ceiling put in not sure how easily it can be done... kinda wish the folks would not have put that up on the inside... could have allowed for a few more inches of head room as well... OK for me but I'm only 5' 6" anyone close to 6' has to duck...

since I don't plan to use the trailer to sleep in I'll pass on the AC

Re: New trailer....

SO you pull that with a Surburban? Is it a 1500 or 2500. I was just wondering because I have a 1500 HD Sierra with a 6.0 and I think I might struggle with that big trailor.

Yup the suburban and it's a 1500 with the standard 350 nothing special... it pulls excellent... even loaded with 3 bikes and lots of gear... ain't hauled the snowmobiles in it yet.. but I could pull a 3 place with 3 sled no problem as well.. my gas mileage goes down from 16 mpg to 12 mpg however

hopefully all that will change a lil .. along with the bodywork repairs I'm havin her get a full tune up and the works... she also needed new front rotors and pads and rear shoes and pads.. reckon can't complain since they've had 115k miles on them and I've never had to do anything but replace her battery once I'm also havin electronic brake hookup put on the burb too .. so this way all the haulin I do won't reak havik on my new brakes and all

16 mpg thats good. I only get 11.5 mpg and thats with no trailor. These gas prices are killing me.

one thing I did forget to mention was my burb squats horribly bad in the rear end with the big trailer hooked up... I need to look into getting better suspension for it but the total of the most recent work makes it a bit hard to manage to get that in on the tally this go around but I don't plan to use it alot just yet... so I don't "think" it's gotta be done right away...

I'm in a loaner Chevy pickup truck 1500 not sure if it's a sierra or what don't say on the side anywhere.. but I think it's getting worse mpg than my burb *EEK* I can practically watch the gas guage drop and I've only driven it maybe 60 - 70 miles in the last 3 days.. luckily I'll only be pulling my small enclosed trailer this weekend with it...

nice trailer!

If only I lived on a golfcourse or the open range like you!! No space for me to park something like that where I live. Maybe SPEED needs a new neighbor?
