Anyone got links for those? |

Not cheap, but easy to store if thats an issue. I have a Texas Bragg BP in 5x8. Really heavy duty, overkill for just a bike, but I use it for alot of other utility duties. Capacity is around 2000 pounds, I paid about $1300 |

| Re: Trailer pricing FWIW, a friend of mine has a Ranger with a similar towing capacity as yours. He pulls a 6x10 enclosed trailer with a single axle with one bike and a scooter in it. I asked him what he thought about a 7x12 tandem axle with 2+ bikes and here's what he had to say:
"Mine is the 4L V6, 4X4. Tow rating is around the same, maybe a couple
hundred pounds less. My trailer is a 6X10. On hilly interstates like going
to Pocono or Beaverun, the engine is struggling. On steeper hills, it will
downshift two gears to keep going. It's been acceptable so far but, if I'm
taking two bikes and a scooter I'll expect the transmission to pack it in
sooner than later, unless I plan to drive 45 mph the whole way. The
owner's manual specifies a maximum trailer frontal area- 50 or 60 s.f.-
mine's under that at 36 s.f. Even if it's under the maximum towing capacity
by the book, with its larger frontal area, weight and the friction of a
second trailer axle, I would never pull a 7X12 with it for any distance or
very often." |

| Re: Trailer pricing in a small truck like that (I had a tacoma), its tough to pull anything of size, because the truck itself is so darn small.
Best to stick with an open trailer if you need to tow 4 bikes... The wind resistance of the enclosed trailer is enough to kill you, then you throw in the weight... Its not gonna be pretty... |

| Re: Trailer pricing No matter what. As Conq mentioned, install a tranny cooler. If there’s already a tranny cooler in the radiator, fine, but you still need to install a second one.
IMO, you’re grossly overloading your truck. But it is YOUR truck. Good luck.

| Re: Trailer pricing I just took the plunge myself. I was looking for a 7x12 to start but I ended up with a 6x12. I was hoping to get 2 snowmobiles into the 7x12 and get rid of my enclosed sled trailer but I have a tacoma and I think that would be a bit much for it. I went with the Pace myself because of the quality. Should have it in about a week. Conq...Where did you get your E-track and wheel chocks? Also, I like the shelving you have on your door. You have that made? |

I got the Pit-Bull chocks direct from Pit-Bull, since the pricing was about the same.
As for the shelf, and other accessories. Look here and prepare to spend some money. http://www.pitpal.com/ |

These guys make THE BEST track: http://www.s-line.com/ http://www.s-line.com/vantrack3a.htm
Very nice looking, great finish, not galvanized but plated. Its been mounted on a utility trailer in the elements for a few years. Still looks new.
...and its CHEAPER. Especially if you call them. I think I paid 1/2 the cost there. Where ever you get your track, be sure and get the clips from the same company that makes it.

| Re: Trailer pricing Just a bit of info I got today. Whether its true or not(from a dealer)...The Haulmarks use 1x3 strips of WOOD for the side walls (structure). After a period of time, you can get moisture or condensation in there and we all know were it can go after that. Just what I heard...
Thx for the links Fig...

| Re: Trailer pricing OK boys/gal's...similar question here!
If I am going to get my arss to gratton, I needs me a trailer. I looked at a pace 6X12 today $2700. Thats brand new, plain jane at Home Depot! It does have a ramp door, and a side door. think my tacoma double cab v6 can do it? I have a class II hitch on it, no tow package though (oil cooler)
max weight I can tow per Toyota: Max trailer+gear-us-truck = 7500 lbs
Max trailer weight = 3500 lbs
too bad its not black!
