| Re: Sportbike Tracktime at Grattan on 6/7 Just heard from someone who talked to Harry from the Can-Do crew yesterday that Sportbike Tracktime had 110 riders last Saturday for their track event with 17 riders crashing! *
Can't believe Grattan would even allow that many people...

| Re: Sportbike Tracktime at Grattan on 6/7 Can you also say 'no tracktime'? That would suck. |

| Re: Sportbike Tracktime at Grattan on 6/7 They typically run three classes. Between waiting for the track to be cleaned up and than riding with 35 or more riders in your session, it would definitely limit your 'funtime', too.

| Re: Sportbike Tracktime at Grattan on 6/7 Damn thats nuts!!! Although with 110 riders/day its no wonder how Monte makes the payments on that death star sized transport rig he's got!!!!!
A buddy was there on Sunday and got rained out. He mentioned Monte was a little miffed about Saturday's chaos.
Peter.... are you going to the Grattan test'n'tune on 6/20? Phozed and I will be there.....no prereg just pay your $60 at the gate. |

| I wish but I can't swing it. *I've already been spending too much time at Grattan! *Don't you have to be licensed for the Test n' Tune? *I haven't gotten that good yet anyways. * *(I'm running in the 1:33's now...still got a ways to go)
I am hoping to get there on 7/7 with Andy and Steve though...

Sam is running a friday practice/test'n'tune before the AHRMA weekend. I heard about it via B.Miller and some of the hawklist guys that frequent the AHRMA series. |

| Re: Sportbike Tracktime at Grattan on 6/7 I'm so screwed up this year, that I didn't even know it was AHRMA weekend. Joe (our tuner) will be racing is TD1c (as usual) that weekend. If I can get something together, I'll try and make it out. |

| Re: Sportbike Tracktime at Grattan on 6/7 I wonder if Sportbike Tracktime is related to Pacific Track Time, These idiots at PTT charge $339/rider for 4 groups at Laguna Seca---friggin idiots---works out to about $10/lap.
Lance Kiegwin does $290 for two group days---go figure--I bet the stupid, greedy bastards are related |

| Yes they are related, but I'm not sure how. PTT is the West coast version of STT. They run combined ads in some of the magazines. There is now a third outfit that's affiliated with STT and PTT that is running track events on the East coast (can't remember the name though). STT rates typically run $135-145 per day for pre-registration. There's also an annual membership fee you have to pay, too.

| Re: Sportbike Tracktime at Grattan on 6/7 PTT and STT are related in that if you have a membership in one then you can do a track day with the other org without joining it. I think that is the extent of the relationship.
FYI, the Mid-Ohio days weren't too bad. The first day was a State 8 day with STT running the event. I think there were only 3 or 4 crashes the entire day. Yesterday it was raining so there obviously were more crashes. Monte did combine the advanced and intermediate classes though to allow people more track time. |

| Re: Sportbike Tracktime at Grattan on 6/7 Grattan test'n'tune on 6/20? Great I still need to get the sv on the track with the clip ons. I got pimped on the last George brother day. The weather was crap. I just did a no show. I heard it didn't go so well for a few people. Thats just michigan weather I guess. I am looking foward to the july trackday though. Vtr996, you going to be there on 6/20? I need someone to follow around and pick up better lines.

| Re: Sportbike Tracktime at Grattan on 6/7 I heard that Saturday was just brutal and on Sunday Monte was in crash protection mode - also I guess someone tried to take an inside line on somebody and lost it and took the other guy with him... in intermediate? Not sure but I don't blame him wanting to crack down.
Eric, Frank, Peter and anyone else - Mark and I are planning on being there the 20th for sure. I'll have my 125 with my 1st attempt at a (semi) fresh top-end! If anything go to watch me highside after seizing the motor! |

| Re: Sportbike Tracktime at Grattan on 6/7 I know last year Monte claims to have had control riders out on the track but they weren't wearing anything to identify them. And I know at Mid-Ohio this past week for both the advanced and intermediate groups he had at least 1-2 people out there with orange vests on keeping an eye on things (I was one of those people one of the days). I know he is trying to keep people from ruining it for others by riding well over their head and pulling stupid passes. The 2 days at Mid-Ohio this week were much better than the days I did with them at Putnam or Mid-Ohio last year so I really think he is trying to reign people in without having to really modify the passing rules. |

| Re: Sportbike Tracktime at Grattan on 6/7 Great! I can't wait. I need to find the best angle for me with the clip ons. I just put them on guessing what angle might work. Hell I haven't even set the static sag for the rear suspension. I think I may have seen your brother out there before on the 900rr. Not sure though. It will be interesting to watch phozed screaming around on the 125. I assume he is taking seconds off his lap times every go around.
