| CMP Got back last night from a day at CMP.
This track reminds me of Jennings - flat and coarse. There were a ton of right handers and a few lefties. To me it was a hard course to learn, each section had its own special spot that would bite you in the arse. I had gotten so used to riding one track (pocono) that I forgot what it was like to have to learn a track. I was trying to learn the whole thing at once and i just made things worse. SO I broke down the sections (like abtech taught me at Grattan) and things flowed together and the speeds picked up.
We rode an open track almost all day due to the limited number of people that showed up (18 including CR's). It was a BLAST I figure I rode for about 5 hours before I was too pooped to ride anymore.
The new ride also kicked my butt. the riding position is more forward and the rear sets are higher than the previous bike. My thighs are sore from all the switching from left to right. |
