So I'm wondering what I can do for number plates for my bike. Unfortunately I will soon end up with only 1 bike, so it will have to do double duty as a track bike and commuter bike. I want to be able to take the number plates on and off the bike. I really don't want to have number plates on the bike when riding the bike on the street. I think this will only draw unwanted attention to me (i.e. the police). However I want to simply slap on number plates (w/numbers on them) when I go to track day. I've looked at the Lockhart Phillips website and do see number plates that you can take off and then re-apply. Does anybody have any experience with the Lockhart Phillips re-usable number plates?

In addition, I probably want to cut the number plate to fit my bike properly? So this is something else I have to take into account.

Get track plastics for when(not if) you bin it. I may have a set of OEM track plastics up for sale in a couple months if you're interested.

You need number plates/numbers for track days?

NESBA gives you a number, but most people just put that on their windscreen, and swap out windscreens for track/street.
