Last week I did a one-day riding school organized by a Greek mag (0-300).
Most of their instructors are qualified by the California Superbike School so I had the chance to get some great feedback throughout the day (i.e. "mate...you need to give it
even more throtle... etc."

)
Anyway...
Currently I have two "issues" with the bike.
1) Brake fade
2) Suspension setup
To deal with no.1 I'll probably have to fit braided hoses since on brake-intensive tracks my brakes fade a lot after 5-6 hard (for my riding standards) laps... Do you guys experience similar problems?
Up until now I haven't fiddled with the suspension at all. And, truth be told, I have started playing with it just for the experience of it. Plus there is another trackday this Sunday and I can test things out there. Weighing about 100kg (Must.. Not.. Eat..), I find the front a bit soft. Great feedback, but soft.
So I started with measuring and adjusting the sag (
http://www.sportrider.com/tech/146_9508_tech/)
These were my initial measurements:
Rear
--------
Completely Extended: 52mm
Supporting the bike's weight: 51mm
With Mr Lardy onboard: 47.1mm
--------
Static Sag: 2.95mm
Front
--------
Completely Extended: 125mm
Supporting the bike's weight: 85mm
With Mr Lardy onboard: 69mm
--------
Static Sag: 48mm
The rear appears (and feels to be) quite ok. I gave it 2 more clicks and it feels good. The sag became 2.45mm, a bit on the low side...
The front however is a different story...Trying to set the front sag, I almost went all the way to the hardest setting of the preload (minus half a turn) just to get 38.5mm of travel. It seems too much... I think it would be better to fit new springs than having to work with a real stiff suspension... I dont want to have a mess as a front-end ...
I'm in a mess... my head hurts

... and I'm pretty sure that I will end up with the default settings...lol
I could definately use some foresight on this (Abtech?, anyone?..

)
Cheers
