Ate S*!t on the 1000RR at VIR

Well....guess it had to happen. My first track day on the very last session which was the mock race I was forced off the track in turn 1. It wasn't too bad lowsided in the grass going probably 30mph. Cracked my tail and lower and scuffed my mid, lower, and tail on the right side. The sato racing frame sliders acted as a plow in the grass and mud stopping the bike quickly. Anyway I had a great time at the track and I can't wait to do more track days. I do think my 1000RR will stick to the street and I'll get a SV 650 or a CBR 600 for the track.

You can always look at it the other way. You're bikes already been crashed so you have less to lose taking it to a track again Just dont make a habit of crashing. Also at least you broke it in the LAST session, my first track day I lost it in the first (really squidly thing to do). Least mine was rideable for the rest of the day...

Glad it wasn't worse than it was.

Should you have been participating in a mock race on your very first track day?

Re: Ate S*!t on the 1000RR at VIR

I am trying to sell my CBR 900 so I can buy somthing for the track but I won't have the money until then. The only reason I did the mock race was to get in some more track time our day was cut short because of so many red flags.
