Nesba @ Putnam Park Oct 16-17

Anybody here been to a Nesba event? Ive been wanting to do a track day all year, but have just got my bike back in operable condition a few weeks ago. So I did some browsing and found that they still have positions open for 'beginner'. My question is, is the Nesba instruction(and/or the putnam park track) good for a beginner(let me emphasize beginner here)?

Putnam is a good track and NESBA does a good job with beginners. You'll get a classroom session in the morning before you go out. I think a second one in the afternoon as well. They have control riders who will guide you around the course and watch your riding.

If you have any other specific questions you might want to post them in the Midwest section of their message board. NESBA.com message board

I ride frequently with NESBA. Many riders have expressed strong satisfaction with the level of instruction that they provide for the Beginner group, as well as for Intermediate. Talk to them at the track and let them know where you are at and they will give you an experienced helping hand. The squeaky wheel gets the grease though, so speak up!

They have very dedicated Control Riders who are specifically tasked with helping you learn the ropes, the track and the system. The CR's will follow you around the track and monitor how you seem to be doing. You need to find one of them and ASK to be followed, so don't forget to ask.

You can always talk to your pit friends and neighbors too. Basically, the place is full of good folks who want you to have a good time and stay safe. If you go to Putnam, I will be there. This will be my very first time at Putnam too! My bike is Blue and White. Say "Hi" if you see me.

I've never ridden with NESBA but, Putnam is a great track for your first time. smooth pavement with excellent grip, lots of run-off in almost every turn, nothing real "tricky", an easy track to go fast on.
