| Trackoholics at Grattan 9/27 Had another kickass time at Grattan on Monday with Jim and the Trackoholics crew. The weather was perfect and the track was in great shape for some quick laps. Bojan was running in the 1:21's! Abtech, VTR996, and myself were there representing da' .org! For those interested, Trackoholics last two events for the season are 10/16-17 and 10/30-31. I'm hoping to get in my last laps for the season! Trackday Report

| Re: Trackoholics at Grattan 9/27 Yep, we had a great day weather wise. The track had a lot of grip which was nice. Bojan figures once we map that dog Suzuki and throw some U4 in it that he will be in the low 20's. Thats amazing on a 600
Was good to see Tom Webb again and meet his dad who did his first trackday and was totally jazzed.
With luck an Indian summer is just around the corner for the rest of October and we'll get 2 killer weekends in before we park our toys. Last year the October date was perfect.
Thanks again for the support Fireblades gives to us. Appreciate it gang. Hope to see some of you in a few weeks.

Jim, The gentleman you referred to as Tom Webb is actually none other than "Mark" Webb . . . |

On the 250s we used to get air on the dip all the way until the braking zone . . . |

Totally awesome day! My first ever trackoholics event and it was a great time. We had perfect weather, few crashes and I managed to improve a bit since fireblade days. Even better was sharing the day with my 64yo father who spent his first ever trackday in the novice group (my b-day present to him).
Big thanks to Jim and Frank and all the Trackoholics folks that help put on the event. My dad is still talking about how much fun he had! |

| Re: Trackoholics at Grattan 9/27 I had a great day as well until I decided to drop my bike on the last lap of the last sesson! No real damage to myself or the bike but I am now interested in race plastics if anyone has a set for sale or any suggestions at all I would be interested. |

Glad you're ok...
CBRVFR...it looked like he went down in 10B (11?) at the top of the hill before the straight.
Abtech...I'm amazed that Boo could still turn the bike on only one wheel!
VTR996...It was great seeing you and your Dad out there! What a champ he is to want to ride on the track.

| Re: Trackoholics at Grattan 9/27 Sorry bout that Mark...... To many pictures, names, computer screens and not enough sleep.
Hell ya your dad did awesome. First time out. I bet he is still running it through his head.
Frank..... BRING MORE GAS Quit buying that expensive **** so you can ride more.
I'm glad Peter got to witness Bojan flat out through the sweeper, the kid is un believeable and he says there is still a lot of room to go faster.
So many people over the past 3 years have told him how fast he was and how they would jump right in and help him and no one ever took the time to follow through. I just felt I could not sit by and watch that kind of talent go to waste and so Trackoholics Racing came to be.
This kid is the **** and I and I told him I'd be there to make his dream happen. I don't see how anyone would not want to back this kid, he pulled those 21's on a pretty stock gixxer 600, hell the power commander has never been mapped and he's running on pump gas.
If you think he is fast on the 600, you should see him on a liter bike. I predict he will one day set more than one lap record.
Anyways, it was a great day and Dave, sometimes you gotta tell your customers there will be no delivery when there is a trackday

| Re: Trackoholics at Grattan 9/27 There is a guy up in Port Huron that does bodywork, Don Proctor can get it for you. He did the Carbon stuff on the R1 that was at the trackday if you saw it. I think he's around 450.00 for all glass, carbon pieces are extra.
I'm using his stuff as well.
Let me know if you want Don's number

Jim | What brand or is it his own? I am interested as long as the quality is there. I should have done this at the beginning of the season |

I forget his name, but he did all of the Greaves Hayabusa glasswork and was a GLRRA regular. |

There's a kid from here (Jim Wood) that just recently got into pro AMA, and was in 27th out of 38 in the last race. His dad is service manager at Chaparral Motorsports in San Bernardino, and is there for him 100%. He'll be another one to keep an eye on for sure . | |

Speed, thats an interesting comment from the competition reguarding Bojan.
All they have done with their (want to be) comments is motivate him to find the track record which I fully expect him to do when he gets on a liter bike.
How goes it out west anyways?

Contemplating a trip in November.
You serious about only hitting the track once since the Fireblades event?

Jim | Unfortunately....yes! ....Went on vacation, and missed a couple, then came back only to have one cancel on me. The others have been on work days, so I've just been riding the favorite hill.
I need at least a couple days @ Willow Springs before my first race.
All your tracks days done for the season?

| Re: Trackoholics at Grattan 9/27 We have a weekend trackday this weekend and the 30 & 31st and thats it for the year.
So when are you going to start racing? This year or you waiting until next year?
I had an interesting thing yesterday when a lady from a Chicago radio station called me and wanted to interview me about trackdays. Sounds like the police in that area are planning a serious clampdown on street riding there.
