On the jennings site, a guy said on the 3rd lap on a bike he had never ridden, hayes turned a 1:23... Without dragging a knee through 1. I think they were consistently in the 1:18s after that though.

I've passed...stuffed folks into 7. I guess 7-8 pass could be done safely consider the speed differences (of slow peps to those guys)....duno if I'd try it!

Jesus.......
I think the best time I ever posted there was a 23, and I probably almost crashed three times on that lap!

Those guys were probably only goofing around, too. That's scary.

Thats the difference I guess between a good rider and a pro rider (not trying to be a wise ass)

Re: Josh Hayes @ Jennings

They own/run a tranny shop on the island.

They also are big time enthusiasts. Steve is a dad and just a track day guy but Rob is a full on racer (several CCS championshiops in last few years) and has been setting up/modding bikes out of his shop for the last year or two. I highly recommend him for any work you need done, if you're in the market. He's a suspension guy/motor guy, you-name-it guy......he helped patch together my race bike (don't ask ) and is very meticulous.

Re: Josh Hayes @ Jennings

Twas me who timed him.

First time to jennings, first time on 05 superbike, first time superbike was ever ridden....23 flat with no knee down in turn 1.He also down shifted in 1 while lokking around and did a 22.....

I did some 25's on pilot powers that day in the intermediate group.

Is that the old new record...a guy on a 250/smoker? I know it was in the 15s. Think my best time lap was in 21s.

Re: Josh Hayes @ Jennings

Thanks CC, if I could only run consistent 20s I'd be happy....well for a minute. Maybe after my visit to GMD for a little better chassis setup?!

I remember when the record was a 21!!! Long ago!
