Beaver Run vs. VIR

So I'm trying to nail down the rest of track day schedule for this year. Having a hard time deciding what to do. I was wondering if anybody here has ridden both Beaver Run and VIR. For VIR I'll be running the North course and Main on 2 separate days. As for which track at Beaver Run, I'm not sure whether it's going to be the North or South course.

Any feedback as to which track is better or pros/cons would be great.

TIA!!!!!

HondaGals can probably give their opinion as well to Beaver Run. I thought it was a fun course with some blind turns, off camber turns, a couple quick flicking turns (Turns 1, 2, and 3 I think). Sorry, I can't compare to VIR. And I don't recall the other course being open when I was there last. It is a short track, but I thought it was pretty cool, and fairly smooth surfaces.

BeaveRun is fun. There's only the one course open. I have only been to VIR south. BeaveRun reminds me a bit of VIR south, but I like the Beave better. However, I've heard that VIR North is awesome. Given the choice, I'd probably go to VIR north.

I'd say do that... When you say VIR Main, are you talking about the full course? Full course links the south to the north. Then there is the grand course where you pretty much run the entire north and south courses...

I'll be running with NESBA and they are listing 2 track days that I'll attend:
  • VIR North
  • VIR Full Course

So basically I'm running not the "Grand Course", but almost the "Grand Course" where the North and South courses are linked?

Re: Beaver Run vs. VIR

Here's my perspective having ridden both tracks:

VIR North: Fast wth flowing and technical area and significant elevation changes. Great track surface. Alot of fun to ride and the track has top notch facilities, ie clean showers & bathrooms.

Beaverun (only one course): Fast and flowing with slight elevation changes. Great track surface, quite abrasive, with some minor bumps. My understanding, however, is that the track surface quality has become bumpier in the last year. The faciliies are terrible.

Either track is good, but I would suggest getting a motel at Beaver near the track as the facilities, when I visitied them, were terrible. If I had a choice, I'd do VIR over Beaver.
