First time with Track Addix and MAM. The no-session track day made for more track time than I was prepared for. All I have to say is "Holy crap I'm out of shape!"

My legs and shoulders are stiff today. I'm going to have to do some serious training to make it through back-to-back days at Grattan.
MAM runs clockwise, is a fun track to ride, and offers a lot of challenges for a track with no elevation changes. Pit out dumps on to the last turn leading to the ~0.5 mile straight before turn 1 & 2 chicane (right to left). Then right to turn 3, a decreasing radius setting up for 4 (a high speed left), turn 5 increasing radius (left), turn 6 & 7 double apex (right), turn 8-9-10 switch back rythm section (r-l-r), and 11-12 another chicane (r-l), then the last right hander. There are plenty of visual queues to help develop your lines such as breaking markers at the end of each straight and orange cones marking the begining, apex and end of most corners. The things I didn't like were the pavement seams that ran down the middle of all the corners and a few rough patches at heavy lean areas. But I guess some would say I'm being picky.
The open session track day made for plenty of track time, but traffic was often heavy. The day started out cool and overcast, but the clouds broke for a pleasant afternoon with only a couple crashes throughout the entire day.
Note to Chain: There was only 1 motard guy there and he railed. It was a little disconcerting to be passed on the inside buy a guy with his foot out flat track style.
