Cal-Sportbike Track Days: Advanced Rider Clinics

Cal-Sportbike Track Days and Kneeriders.com announce the “Advanced Rider Clinic” featuring Ducati supported racer Eric “GoGo” Gulbransen

Cal-Sportbike Track Days announced today that their remaining 2005 track days will offer an exciting new instruction option for advanced rider and racers who frequent track days.

Co-Owner and PR Director for Cal-Sportbike Track Days Craig Grantham says, "For the majority of advanced track riders there exists a void between the normal track day routine and the full track school that is often expensive. Recognizing this, Cal-Sportbike Track Days and Kneeriders.com partnered to develop a high impact clinic that will create an opportunity for more immediate skill development (and lower lap times) while preserving the important principles of smooth and controlled riding. We're very happy to present this advanced riding clinic with both Eric and his Ducati motorcycle demonstrating the proper skill development for track day riders in the West."

Beginning with the June 20th Thunderhill Raceway event, Cal-Sportbike events will feature the "Advanced Riders Clinic", at most west coast track events. The primary instructor will be Eric "GoGo" Gulbransen, a nationally known racer, and a Ducati Factory supported privateer/regional racer. Eric "GoGo" Gulbransen began racing over 15 years ago, and won numerous races and champioships in the Northeastern US before moving to the West in 2003. Now, he heads up a high profile regional racing team based in Northern California, and races two Ducati's (a 999R and a 749R), in the AFM (American Federation of Motorcyclists) racing organization. He routinely wins "Open Twins" class races on his Ducati sponsored 749R, while giving up 20 - 30 HP to the bigger 1000cc bikes. GoGo has also qualified for the AMA round to be held at Laguna Seca during the MotoGP weekend, July 8 - 10.

Grantham continues, "GoGo knows what it takes to get the most out of a motorcycle, and is an extraordinary communicator as well. His long and storied career winning races on Ducati motorcycles is a great asset to our team. This all adds up to a learning experience for the advanced rider or racer that can have a real impact on their performance...and it will be a fun time as well."

The operational staff at Cal-Sportbike Track Days have built a reputation for running well organized full service events over the past several seasons, putting the rider's needs first, and focusing on making events both safe and fun. While many novice and intermediate riders have experienced this great focus and attention, now advanced riders can do the same with top quality training at a very affordable price! Re: Cal-Sportbike Track Days: Advanced Rider Clinics

Jaime, it's best for Todd to answer that question properly...
but this is what i know... Cal-Sportbike Track Days, took over the western region portion of Sportbike Track Time. But it's sort of still part of S.T.T. just ran better with better idea's, for instance, there is no loner a STT members price. everone pays the same price, well unless your a racer or a female. it's easier to sign up for a trackday, thru the Cal Sportbike web site. and this great new Advanced Riders Clinics! to me a lot has changed for the Trackday rider, Cal-Sportbike Track Days are out to serve you, because you pay a good amount of money to do a trackday why not get more out of it?

how this for customer satifaction... I got a email from one of the Co-Owners tonight asking to me to fill out a questionair on how my trackday experience was and to send it back to them. I think it is awesome for a trackday organizer to want to be the Best out there and not just be another trackday provider...

they offer lots of amenities for their trackday riders such as:

- Michelin tire service
- Chair massage therapy
- Dyno Services
- Suspension Tuning
- Photography
- Videography
- Novice Classes
- Advance Riders Clinic

I already deleted an email I got before the last trackday @ Pahrump, but they had a new riders to pahrump welcoming get together the night before the trackday, I heard it was great! they had it at a resturant, no this wasn't just a group of riders out partying, it was actually put on by Cal-Sportbike Track Days!

Is Cal-Sportbike Track Days different than Sportbike Track Time? I say yes!

But Jaime, Don't just take my word, check them out yourself!

Re: Cal-Sportbike Track Days: Advanced Rider Clinics

Jaim,

We are the west coast affiliate of the STT national organization. We are still closely tied to them and we are still providing staff for their October Femmoto women's event, and we're collaborating on the December Laguna event. So truly we are still very much a part of their national brand while being wholly owned and operated by my partners and I.

We just found that in THIS region our ability to custom tailor the scope of the organization to the needs of the west coast riders is working much better. Yes, that means more amenities and yes, we think that friendship and camaraderie make for a better event for everyone. The rider mixer events not only help newbies relax about the whole deal (we show video and talk through track maps) but give A and B riders time to get acquainted with the folks who will be riding around them.
