| Re: Tracks in Texas??? It sounds like your looking for drag strips? If your looking for road courses, there is Motorsport Ranch (MSR) which is just west of Fort Worth. Texas World Speedway is in College Station. I'm sure there are more, but those are the two I'm familiar with. |

| Re: Tracks in Texas??? Oakhill should actually be the closest road race track. It's normally only open to current racers though. Like Northy said MSR and TWS are both good tracks. TWS is longer and faster. |

| Re: Tracks in Texas??? Like mentioned before, TWS is probably the best one to open her up. It has the longest straight of the 3 tracks mentioned. Oak hill is pretty tight and was originally a kart course. Depending on your final drive ratio you'll be lucky to get past 4th gear there. |

| Re: Tracks in Texas??? I've only been to MSR personally. Both times we ran the track backwards. None of the straights are very long but still a fun track. I've never been to TWS but as mentioned before they have some longer straights. |

Atleast the 1st couple trackdays I did on the 929 I didn't have a damper and made it fine, but I wasn't and still not the fastest guys on the track. If your smooth on the gas you should be OK. But it is good insurance and I do have one now.
IMHO I like MSR better. It's smoother, tighter, and no wall in turn 8/9. |

PS I can't keep the little off the bike. Everytime he's in the garage he wants to sit on the bike. He always wants to wear all my gear everytime I pull my helmet, gloves or boots out. |

| Re: Tracks in Texas??? Get a damper for TWS. It has a spot nicknamed wheelie hill for obvious reasons. I found my 929 to get squirrely even with a damper.
Enjoy it if you go and take lots of water. You will learn a lot. |
