Re: Killer deals on trackbikes?

Check out the prices on these bikes. I wouldn't mind getting a NSR 250 for the track.

Anybody here know jack about importing bikes? Costs? Customs? Motor vehicle registration? Is it more trouble than its worth?

For track bikes, its the norm for getting 2 stroke GP bikes, companys load up a container and ship it over. It almost impossable, especialy in California, if you want to redgister it though, only for track bikes.

Re: Killer deals on trackbikes?

I saw a RVF and VFR 400 at a track day. I would to have the RVF as a track bike.

I rode one during a track day at Donnington in June and i'll say this, as much as I love that bike, it was a pain in the ass to ride, you can find the limits of that bike so fast! I ran out of sidewall a lot... my lap times weren't as impressive as they could have been, i was lapping the Donnington circuit at 1:34 with the RVF400 and 1:24 with a buddy's Gixx 750... the 400 could carry more speed into the corner and was smoother through the corners and didn't get very light through crayner curves but the gixxer was too powerful for me...

i'd say the 400 is fun when you think about it but i think most riders would get tired of it really quick.
