Proto, the only difference is that the "instructors" are actually involved in teaching and giving input one-on- one or in a class. The novice or street riding class is typically 'led" for at least half the day, so the instructor can get an idea of each of their abilities--
The intermediate and advanced, or racer groups have employees of the track organization " control riders" circulating during all sessions and looking for people in trouble, or riding over their heads, or riding inappropriately. Their role would be to pull that rider off the track and either instruct or warn them, or pass them along to the persons who would supervise their departure.
