Track School in the RAIN!

Well after waiting for my personal track school for about a month it was raining

I tried to call the track and the instructor and the told me to show up.

When I arrivend the instructor told me that he was going to give me another the lesson on another date but I was more then welcome to spend the day with him setting up my suspension and learning the lines yada yada.

I did go and had fun, practiced funky shiat

I would not have the balls at this point to race in the rain

The track is where it's at for me now

Re: Track School in the RAIN!

My first roadrace ever was in the rain. I guess it wasn't such a big deal, as I only owned a bike (no car) for transportation and ran rain or shine every day all year. It's more of a mental thing than anything else, of course nowadays, I don't like cleaning up the bike after running in the rain, so I try to avoid it whenever possible . . .

Re: Track School in the RAIN!

If you ride your street bike in the rain, then you are in a great spot come race day. The track only guys are more scared than you are. I loved to race in the rain because I always did so well. I barely slowed down (tells you how fast I was in the dry ) but everyone else basically parked it. As noted, it is mostly a mental thing, and having the confidence from the street puts you ahead of the guys who don't do that.
