| Re: NHIS is UNDER Water. Damn. Yeah, we've had a lot of rain on the east coast. I think I heard 8-11 inches over a 36 hour period. We've had surprisingly little flooding in my area, considering. |

| Re: NHIS is UNDER Water. Well not trying to be too smart arse, but you guys have the nerve to tell us we have lousy weather.
Hurricanes, floods, forest fires - think I'll stay right here in Blighty, thank you old boy!
PS years ago for a while I used to drive from Hampton up to Kingston to work. I know its not the NHIS but I seem to recall driving past a small racetrack somewhere. Near Exeter maybe? Still there or is my memory playing tricks?
I have very fond memories of New Hampshire.

| Re: NHIS is UNDER Water. It's been raining since Saturday, although it hasn't done much today. I work 2 miles from the track and you'd never know that it was under water. Most of the damage is out in Western NH. They got hit hard.
If this is any indication as the the winter we're in for, I'm gonna need to go get a bigger snowblower. |

I have very fond memories of New Hampshire. | the drag strip is in Epping but its not exactly between Hampton and Kingston. not sure if there is some little track around there or not.
and you forgot tornadoes in the midwest.

We were supposed to do some work up in Alstead this week. We get up there and National Guard turns us around. A friend who lives there has no way of getting out of town, every road out is washed away. It's crazy. Going north from Keene Routes 9, 10, 11, and 123 have been washed out. Whole houses have disappeared. It's crazy! I saw some of the washouts in the road but couldn't see anything serious since the Guards sent us away? We'll be back there to repair houses as soon as they let us in I'm sure! It's just so unbelievable because you'd never think things like that could happen around here???
"Five miles of utility poles were taken out along Route 123 in Alstead and there’s no road left. So where do we put the poles?” asked David Graves of National Grid, which owns the local power utility |
