Ride with an AMA legend...

I just found out last night that there will be a special guest at the season ending trackday this weekend in New Mexico. I for one am pumped to even meet the guy let alone maybe ride on the track with him. He's putting on a class for those that want to spend the $600 fee. Wish I had it cause this guy is one of the all time best(IMHO). His class is on Friday and he will be there for Saturday and Sunday. The guest will be Doug Chandler!

His class was $99? I didn't mean ride on his bike with him, I meant share the same tarmac with him.

$600 for one-on-one? If so that's pretty good I think.

He was just riding that day wasn't he Mark? He wasn't doing a class I don't believe. I've ridden on the same track as Doug multiple times...Sooooo smooth. I corner worked once at BW when he was out riding...thought he was going to toss it every time he came over lost hills. On the downside of the hill he was on one wheel cranked over on the outside of the candy stripe!

Re: Ride with an AMA legend...

He already came to the track once this year and on a basically bone stock ZX-10 shattered the track record within a few laps. The part that really imresses me is that it's much more of a 600 track than a literbike track.

Re: Ride with an AMA legend...

We have a couple locals being Scott Jensen and Mark Ladesma that come to our trackdays. It's just amazing how fast they are. Balls the size of coconuts.

Re: Ride with an AMA legend...

Jensen was out at Arroyo a few times, the last being a big crash with the track owner. No one was seriously hurt, but there were some damaged bikes for sure.
