A little video footage from 12/11 PSC day

I'm the guy in the bright red A* suit on the red and white 929 (1:10-1:42). K9 is in a silver/black Motogp suit on the black and white 954. It's the footage from a DVD that was made of us.

Baby I'm ready to go.....!

Thanks for posting that. It was just what I needed today. Even though it got above freezing, it is still a couple of months before the CBR comes out of hibernation.

Gonna go watch that vid again.

The guy shooting the video w/ the brake lever adjuster going by the windscreen is AMA superbike racer Mark Ladesma.

Dayumm...he looked fast, but he oughta be!

I saw K9 in several scenes. It took a few veiws only because there were a lot of black suits and you had to watch carefully to see the white on the bike. (At least for me)

The little head shake at 2:52 was fun to watch!

The rumble strips made me cringe...

Love that song!

When the cops are behind me I get a little nervous and tend to just move out of the way Is it considered getting lapped when I stick it underneath you on the brakes? If so, oh well, plenty of payback coming your way my friend

I've watched quite a few guys run that rack and everytime I see the expert and pro guys go out there that tower turn freaks me out. Mark and some of the guys really burn that corner. Watching morning sessions is always fun cause they spin up a lot over the launch pad for the drags. I myself have still not ridden that track but hope to someday this coming summer. Sweet vid .

Re: A little video footage from 12/11 PSC day

Ok, so Firebird Main has very little run-off room and it has more square footage of wall space than the Great Wall of China.

The track is fast and alot of fun if you don't go down. The tower turn isn't as bad as everyone has made it out to be. Once you learn a good line through the tower turn, you can really pick up some speed through there. Nothing like asphalt, concrete, metal plate, concrete and asphalt transition to really wake you up in the morning!

Oh yeah, Nick. Don't let me pass you at Grattan or you'll never live it down. You know I'm the best bench racer and **** talker in the valley!

Re: A little video footage from 12/11 PSC day

With the right line through the tower turn you completely miss the metal plate.
Of course, you have to bring your head up and in to miss the inside wall........

EDIT: Whoa........just watched the vid, and you guys are completely skipping the last set of esses before the tower turn. Why is that? Did the pavement get even worse or something?
That vid brings back a lot of memories of racing with the CCS Phoenix good ol' boys club....I mean CCS Southwest.

They removed it, not sure why but everyone seems to think that the flow is much better. Myself, I didn't like that track very much at all, too many walls for me to mentally try and push hard.

Ricky-
Did you see that Brembo mc for sale in classifieds? Better jump on it We'll settle this Grattan thing in June, first we have to deal w/ East

That's too bad, it was one of my favorite places to stuff people and make them cry. I guess that's what they're talking about - if you stuffed someone through there it completely screwed their drive through the tower turn and thus the straightaway.
Yeah, the track isn't exactly anywhere near safe, but it has some fun switchbacks on the backside. One of my faster crashes came on the entrance to turn 2 (or 3 if you count the carousel at the end of the straight as two turns).

A good friend of K9 and I crashed in the backsection during the last session, he said when he lost the rear that he was doing about 90 and went face first into a hailbail, luckily he didn't hit a wall. Came out w/ a bloody nose and a shiner. I tried not to stuff anyone that day except the copper, the skill level was all over the place since it was a club thing, still good fun though
