MidOhio: July 2006
There's been some talk about doing a July date at MidOhio. Found this THREAD. (If there's another, point me to it)

The STT schedule for July looks like this:

July 22-23 -(Sat, Sun) - $195/Day $375/2-Day
July 31 ----(Monday) -- $195/Day

*AHRMA is running a Vintage event on July 28-30. In the past, the track has been VERY oily on the following day. No offense to you AHRMA guys, just passing on some info...

It would be awesome if we had a decent contingent of FireBlades members.

Who else is considering a July trip to MidOhio, and which date looks best...

Yup, you need an STT membership, but it's only $30 for the year.

I'd love to make the July weekend event. If we can get out there, it would be for the 22/23. I would want 2 days, since it's a good long drive. Tentatively thinking about it, have to see how things pan out this year. The thought of a freshly paved Mid-Ohio is very tempting!

FYI, STT has an LED (limited endurance day) at Mid-O on Tuesday, 8/1. Some of my track cohorts and I were debating hitting M-O on either 7/31 or 8/1 or both. I wasn't aware of the AHRMA event that weekend (can attest firsthand about the oil), so I'll have to check with them and let you know.

STT just updated their schedule...July 22 has been changed to a twilight LED event from 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm, and Sunday July 23 has been cancelled.

I will be there the 7/31. Just signed up this morning Hopefully not too much oil? This will be my first time at mid-ohio. The lady at mid-ohio when I called said you don't need an STT membership even though I already have one.
