| Got a question for MAM Veterans! I am trying to make preliminary plans for my first track experience on two wheels. I have been looking into the official MAM Riders School and the Track Addix Track Orientation School at MAM. Not sure which one is better for the money, they are both within 5 dollars of eachother.
I am looking for any advice on which on to take! Thanks |

| Re: Got a question for MAM Veterans! I did the MAM school three years ago. It was the first school I had done at the time. When I did it (not sure if it is the same now), it was done on a Wed afternoon starting at 3pm. So you only had half a day to work with. Since it was my first time, I didn't really notice as I was so excited just to be on the track.
I've never been to the Track Addix Orientation but I assume you'll get a full day of riding.
If your interested in becoming a member of MAM and riding during their weekly seesions, they'll usually give you a discount on membership after the MAM school. We also got some pretty good coupons for Motul products and brake pads (I forget the brand).
Hope this helps. |

| Re: Got a question for MAM Veterans! I attended a Track Addix "no session" track day @ MAM. The track was fine, but the traffic was a little heavy. |

| Re: Got a question for MAM Veterans! And when I attended the MAM school, we had maybe 10 people in the class. When we were on the track, we were the only ones out there. |

| Re: Got a question for MAM Veterans! I took the MAM rider's school. It was awesome, but like others have said it's only a half day. I definately could have gone for more time. The instructor's were really nice and helpful though, and they made my first track experience a great one.
I've never done the trackaddix school, but I have done a lot of their trackdays. They are really nice guys, and the school goes for the whole day. When they have a track orientation school, they run sessions so the people doing the school are the only ones out on the track when it's their turn.
I'm doing the new racer school with them on 4/1, and am really looking forward to it.
Basically, you can't go wrong either way. You will be their for the whold day with the trackaddix guys though. Plus, you can do the combined event on 4/1 and 4/2, and do the school on saturday and a trackday on sunday. |

| Re: Got a question for MAM Veterans! Thanks a ton guys! I did not know that the MAM riders school was a half a day. Like I said before they were both about the same price I think I will have to go for the all day school! |

| Re: Got a question for MAM Veterans! Not to sound like a salesman, but a road trip to Grattan in late June will do wonders for a new rider looking for a great learning experience on an extremely challenging track. If you ran SCCA, maybe you've already been to Grattan a few times, so you'll know what I mean. |

| Re: Got a question for MAM Veterans! I would love to make it up there but I take summer school and it would be tough for me to get away. I have never been to gratten before all my track experience as been just doing track days with my car. I have been to Gingerman and MAM. I am looking forward to expanding that list with the new bike and maybe next year my wife and I will be able to make it up to Gratten. |

You could just let your professors know you will be taking an "extended" holiday . . .
Don't know about MAM, but Injureman isn't one of my favorites. |

| Re: Got a question for MAM Veterans! Well MAM is about hour and twenty mins from me and about a hour and thirty the other direction is a new race track going up that will have some moderate elevation changes. http://www.racemph.com/ |

If you're on the second row of bleachers, you can follow a bike around the entire place. T3 is the decreasing-radius that does catch some people out, but if you know the line you can really get a nice run out of there.

Have you been to Hastings yet? If you get a chance to check it out, post about it please. |
