Metzler track tire ?

Any info on the Metzler Race tec K 1&2.

Looking at a set now, any info is appreciated.

Had the Michelin Power race Med/Med and liked them just wanted to try something different. You don't know if you will like them until you try them, but don't want to be a guinnea pig either.

Re: Metzler track tire ?

took the free k1 front and k2 rear to pahrump for two days of fun in january. they are awesome. got a little cold tear, but the grip was great. the bike just railed on the tires. i've got two more sets in the garage. i highly recommend them.

Re: Metzler track tire ?

Basically the tire is manufactured on the Pirelli MIRS machine just like the Diablo Corsas. This makes the carcass lighter and more consistent. The tread is compounded similar to a Supercorsa. So you get a longer wearing, almost as sticky Supercorsa for a little less $$. Go with the supersoft front and soft rear and you should be set!

Re: Metzler track tire ?

Mind you, these are more track oriented than Diablo Corsas, they have very little tread siped on them. Not for street use.
