Pics from 3/12 TEAMAZ trackday

The 150 day AZ drought ended the night/morning before we were suppose to ride which made things fun. The first pic is myself leading K9inAZ (as usual ) into the carousel. The rest are just some shots of me at "Lake Firebird". Be kind, I'm sensitive

Those pics would look really great if it didn't look like you are riding through a junkyard. I know, it's what you have close by but hardly a "roadracing" facility.

Good shots though

Thanks guys, I agree that the facilities are ****. People always give me a hard time because I talk poorly about the tracks out here. I keep telling K9 to wait until he gets to ride Grattan, he'll never want to come back here. I'm counting the days

Grattan has several issues that have always kept it from being a world class facility (pavement, facilities, track bound paddock etc.), but in terms of beauty, challenge, accessability and ambience, I haven't found too many tracks that even come close. The owners are a large family and several branches of this family contribute too and derive their living from the facility.

It would be nice to see a total repave, new curbing and revamped facilites, but then we probably wouldn't be able to afford the place for our yearly event. Grattan is on the short list of reasons I haven't relocated to warmer climes . . .
