| Re: Bigger Trackdays Aren't Better. Just went to a Takeit2the track day at button willow backwards. Your article sums them up. They had some asshats from Mconline that passed me on Mazda turn at Button willow. I had to change my line to avoid hitting him. To bad he didn’t have mirrors he would have seen me flip him off. They also let the mconline bikes on with headlights and taillights not taped over. The instructors also passed very close and rode way past what they should have for C group riding. They had at least 3 red flagged sessions that day. They let a rider on the track that did not look like he knew how to ride. The guy could barley change gears. I don’t think he went past 25 mph. I did like doing button willow backwards. This was my second trackday and a stark contrast to Zoom zoom trackdays. |

It is TI2TTs goal that everyone have a great experience while having a SAFE day at the track to improve on skills while staying safe and having fun with friends and coriders. Two riders from MConline were observed passing agressively and on the inside (one of them did it to me also). I was involved in having them talked to and observed them after and it seemed they had toned down there riding to an acceptable level (at least when a control rider was in sight). Due to the eyewitness issues I seen along with your complaint, I doubt that the MCO personelle will be allowed outside the A group (if they're even allowed to return...) at any of our days that they may attend in the future. Quote: | The instructors also passed very close and rode way past what they should have for C group riding. | This concerns me. I'm curious on where/how this happened. If you could contact me via pm so we could chat about this I'd truely appreciate it. Instructors will at times work through traffic while passing on the outside (in B&C) groups and then move at a higher rate of speed to catch up to another group to observe/help. Quote: | They had at least 3 red flagged sessions that day. | Yes, these were due to riders ending up in the impact zone or on the track after a crash. Some days have a higher number of incidents that are at times beyond our control. Control riders are out looking for riders that seem to be riding on the "edge" or over it in order to talk with them and help them tone it down and work on improving skills before they crash. In some cases thes instances are not observed/caught before the rider crosses over that edge. Looking at the crash statistics from the last 1.5 years for TI2TT they are almost identical to the crash rates that Zoom Zoom has publically posted. Quote: | They let a rider on the track that did not look like he knew how to ride. The guy could barley change gears. I don’t think he went past 25 mph. | This rider was definitely the slowest on the track, but he did get past 25mph. Instructors worked with him and also discussed his situation with him. We worked on keeping him on a tight line so people could easily get by him on the outside. One thing I'd like to remind people, is that during a day at the track if you see issues that concern you, PLEASE PLEASE go and talk to one of the people that works for the provider that is running the day and discuss your concern! There are only a certain number of control riderson the track at one time and they can not be at all places at the same time, so there will be issues that are not identified that can not be addressed if the provider is not aware of them. Again, I'm sorry you feel you had a negative experience at this trackday and welcome the chance to chat with you about it. Your experience is not typical at our track days and I can provide you with MANY references that have had the opposite experience at our days. I hope that you take a chance and come to another one of our days so we can prove that your experience on Monday was not typical. If you do, please introduce yourself to me. I'd definitely like to meet you.

| Re: Takeit2the track day at button willow backwards Wow, I thought Ti2TT was a much better group of trackday guys (and I don't say this just because of RRWANTR) than Zoom. In tech I moaned about a loose chain and people were jumping in with tools I didn't have to get it sorted. Smiles all around by staff all day too.
It was well run, serious effort was put into maximizing time on track (despite tons of crashing, they can't really help that) and a nice lunch (with a nice little "free" raffle) was provided all for $140. I love the policy, you wad, your **** is left out there provided it's out of an impact zone.
Compare this to other schools, and I'll definately be giving Ti2TT priority when looking for trackdays.
I loved it run backwards, much more fun than the "normal" CW to me.

| Re: Takeit2the track day at button willow backwards I was mainly pissed about the MConline guys. I did like the crew and may have been a bit sensative after that incedent.
I can't blame you guys for the red flags, but waht the hell was the guy on the busa thinkin? everyone knew he was going to wad that thing.
I'll try you guys out again and bitch directly next time. I did meet some good people at the track and may have been a little harsh. the guy on the 250 was kinda funny kinda like "fat guy in a ittle coat" |

| The sad thing is he'd been talked to about what he was doing and told to tone it down some as he was riding over his head......should have listened. Quote: |

| Come bitch directly to me if you have any complaints....(except your leathers up your a$$...I'm not helping you with that one.. ) and I'll take care of it or direct it to Matt and Aaron. |

| Re: Takeit2the track day at button willow backwards I was there and had a blast. I didn't mind MO being there doing their 600 shoot-out - I thought they were on the track a few minutes earlier before the session began?
Yea, the 'busa guy --- and in the 'C' group? |

Every track org has good days and bad days. It's how the organizer handles criticism and what they do to make it right that makes a difference. I see RRWANTR active in this thread and he seems genuinely concerned. The key thing is to bring up issues as soon as possible. With any track day organization, issues can not be as effectively addresses after the day is over.
Regardless, I'm glad to hear you got back out to the track again so soon. I just got done with an amazing day at Infineon yesterday and nothing can get me down right now! |

| Re: Takeit2the track day at button willow backwards I wish i could have made infineon, but the drive was a bit much. I plan on sticking with button willow for a few trackdays because i feel pretty comfortable there. I'm hoping to do another on may 14th at button willow clockwise.
Oh and i should have taken your advise on the bodywork. hotbodies is crap! The stuff doesn't even fit off the bike. I guess you get what you pay for though.
I did step it up this trackday. I felt comfortable just about everywere on the track. especially the mazda turn. |

| Re: Takeit2the track day at button willow backwards Sounds like it was a successful track day, then. AFM has just decided to run th final race of the year at Buttonwillow backwards, so it will be likely that you'll see even more backwards days. |
