New Trackday Video - Reno-Fernley

Here's a new video I put together from my trackdays last week at RFR. I've got some new mounting equipment that I was excited about using to get some new angles, but the bumpy track surface made that impossible this time. I'll save it for Grattan, I guess.

You'll notice a few shots where the camera was looking back up at me from under the windscreen. I only made it about 1/4 of a lap before it was bouncing out of its mount! It's a little disconcerting trying to shove that thing back in when you're heading into a turn at about 85 MPH!

Hard to believe that this is just one lap, but with 4 1/2 miles and 30+ turns, you get the idea of just how much fun this track is.

I went a little different direction with the music this time. Being a lover of electric blues, I couldn't resist.

It's about 70MB, so right-click and save for best results:

I hope you like it!

I think you put up the best quality track vids (for free anyway) of anyone I've seen.

Great as always.

Track looks fun too, reminds me of T-Hill when I watch the vid.

Thanks alot, LTL! Glad you liked it.

The elevation changes definitely reminded me of Thunderhill, and add a ton of fun. Not quite as much of a blind adventure over the tops of those hills as T-Hill, though!

Glad you liked it. I've got the last couple of CD's by Lance, and they're outstanding.

Re: New Trackday Video - Reno-Fernley

Looks like they were a little spartan with the cones. I was having a hard time with reference points out there for about the first day. A couple of well placed tall cones over some of the blind rises really helped a lot.

Yep... once again great video. Had a very SRV sound in the beginning but the vocals weren't quite on.

Nice trail braking by the way.

Yeah, most of that video was from day one. On day two they added some reference cones that definitely helped. Coming over the rise to the big downhill was always tricky coming in at speed.
