| Tenderized Mutton (Rogue '06) OK so the flock went for a 50-70ft slide in turn 2 at Baa-rber (home track of Blue Sheep the world over). Long story but the basics is I tucked the front end
Not much damage to the bike. Need a new slider and some cosmetic damage to the bar slider and front brake lever. Have to check the rear is detail now that I am back. Sat out that session on the side and the RC was flooded and wouldn't start. Sat the next out by my choice and had the bike reinspected and rode the rest of the day.
A bit more damage to my gear. JR GPX leathers are beat a bit and I need to evaluate replace or repair. Ground the to fairly bad on my Alpinestars GP3 boots so they are trash. Tourmaster gloves are OK but a bit thin so they are getting trashed also. Took the Cam off the side of the bike and it cut the cable but I figure it will be fixed ( it is sometimes flaky and I THOUGHT it was on but have nothing on tape could have been some cool video). Trashed my new lap timer but I figure I can get that repaired.
Today it was wheezing rain on and off all day so I gave up at 2 and drove home (yes I could have got some soggy sessions but one adventure was enough )

| Re: Tenderized Mutton (Rogue '06) Sorry to hear about the get off but at least you are able to ride another day.
Yeah tow rules to never do before a track day, fresh paint or wash the bike. Just bad omens.
It appears that seatbelts do save lives and good to know that passenger sheep is okay as well.
Edit: that blue looks sweet in the sun. Rashed and all. |
