Texas World Speedway - July 3rd

It is a little early to be putting this one out there, but I'm a newb so I can get away with it.

I wrecked my bike out at Houston's Motorsport Ranch so I won't be riding, but I have a pretty good size crew of guys/gals who are going to be there so I will probably drive out just to visit and maybe hop on someone else's bike for a session.

Anyone near enough to College Station, TX to make the drive?

Re: Texas World Speedway - July 3rd

Unfortunately, I leave TX about 30 June or I'd come visit.

Plenty of camper space available, but I hope you have an a/c and generator. The track amenities suck; it's an old NASCRAP oval with a road course, and the buildings and stands are in a pretty bad state of disrepair. But for those of us who consider it our "home track", we love it.

Riding time, as always, is going to depend on the trackday provider's schedule. Typically, there are three riders' groups, expert, intermediate, and novice, and they alternate from 8am to 5pm, running about 20-25 minutes per session.

I'm not sure if this July 3rd event is Lone Star Track Days or Ridesmart, but you can easily find their websites, and that of TWS, via Google to get all the details.

It is a fast track; lots of fun. Bring your camper and plug in. There will be several DFW people there. BTW: this one is a RideSmart event.
