| Favorite Sproket Combo for Grattan? I'm turing the 929 into a track bike and was thinking about changing the sproket combo. I currently use 16/46 and was wondering what the Grattanaholics out there feel is the best combo for Grattan. I'm sure it will come down to personal opinion, but what do "you" think? |

That was my thought too.
I had heard something years ago about the torque applied to the swingarm with different gear diameters, and that the diameters should be chosen to have the right loads applied to the tires, but I don't remember the details. Something about squat or anti-squat properties. I've stuck near stock so maybe it doesn't matter. |

You certainly won't need any more, but can always use the lower ratios through the tighter stuff. |

| Re: Favorite Sproket Combo for Grattan? 15/43 on my 1000rr had me hitting the top of 5th at the end of the straight... but if I could ride worth a **** I'd probably be well into 6th. |

Besides, after paying for 6 gears, you should use them or you've wasted your money .... I seem to remember hearing that somewhere before |
