Re: Anybody can drag a knee....

Looks as if they would have known better than to build the curbs that high. Unless I am the one that does not understand why the track would do that.

That could cause some problems I think.

Re: Anybody can drag a knee....

It would seem to me that the people who own the track don't know a thing about racingl.

You don't even want a car hittin those. Probably throw it back onto the track causing more problems then if it slid off.

Re: Anybody can drag a knee....

My goodness, you guys don't see the BIG picture.
They see the Motard trend and want to cash in. And MotoCross is good money.

It is intended track design:
You are SUPPOSE to cut those corners and jump the SOBs.
It's a great passing technique. You just fly over the bike in front of you. Hell, you can get 2-3 spots, if you time it right.
Slick

Re: Anybody can drag a knee....

They took away the gaps, cracks and patches, now everyone wants to bitch about some little ol' curbs...

The one I found most annoying at M.O was in T1 at the pit exit merge...it was near the corner apex and was pretty tall. Seen more than one "incident" there where peeps got a knee or footpeg in the way...

Good to see that they listened and adjusted as needed to suit the riders.

A few cajuns with belt sanders could have done it much cheaper.

Very odd that they let that go in. Glad they didn't waste time debating if they would fix it. Looks good now.

Those looked worse than the ugly ones they put in at Gingerman originally. Those were mostly normal height, but with these big ramped "aligator teeth" spaced every couple feet. Those were likewise ground down pretty quickly after the motorcycle guys complained.

That was almost like a Government Roads and Bridges job. Build it and tear it down only to build it right the second time.
