Re: Any tn or ky riding schools?

There is Ed Bargy when he comes to Nashville 9/15 and I have heard good things about his course HOWEVER I have heard nothing good about Nashville including locals that will not ride it. Not sure what part of Ky you are in but consider a school at Putnam, Barber or Talladega Grand Prix.

Re: Any tn or ky riding schools?

Nashville got poor ratings from several of my friends who rode it. The transition from the infield to the banked oval and back off the oval to the infield is extremely harsh being the most disliked portion.

Ed Bargy does his school at several locations (Ed Bargy Racing). I took it at Little Talledega in FEB. Temps were pretty cool (55-60F) the track surface was smooth, it has almost no elevation changes, and the turns force you to be smooth and consistent.

The instruction was great. Ed takes no crap, tells it like it is, and will make those who think they're already great look like the amateurs they are.

As far as tracks go, there are several within 6 hours of you. Putnam Park, Talledega GPR (when it reopens), Barber, Nashville, Road Atlanta. It should be pretty easy to find a school with the amount of good tracks in the vicinity.

Re: Any tn or ky riding schools?

We met some folks from KY when were were at Road Atlanta and they traveled there just for the school and were headed home at the end of the last day.

Now, that's a fun track...and you get to hang with Kevin Schwantz if you save enough of your pennies.

Re: Any tn or ky riding schools?

I did the same when I took my school at Lil Talledega and went to the track day there a month later.

Use a 4 day pass, drive down the day prior. Do the two days. Drive back that night or the next morning.

Perhaps not an exhaustive list, but pretty thorough..

HondaGal, why do you have a picture of a parking meter as your avatar?

He's good s**t. Make sure you bring a unit coin and scrounge some from your buddies in other units.

He loves the military. Make sure you call in your registration, he'll ease the strain on your wallet.
