| Where do I start out.... getting on the track. I guess the question is, go to track school? go to trackdays? Have all the leather gear. I suppose a 04 viffer is enough for now? Suggestions? |

| Re: Where do I start out.... getting on the track. An '04 VFR is a great bike for learning to ride on the track. I'd suggest signing up for a track school program like Reg Pridmore's CLASS. He does an excellent job of orienting new riders to the track.
Good luck...you'll be hooked!

| Re: Where do I start out.... getting on the track. I'd go to a school first, something like Reg Pridmore's CLASS. The VFR will be fine for your first day/season. Reg used to teach his school on VFRs! If there's no school near you, or not near you soon enough, research the trackday organizers in your area to see which ones provide instruction. The ones by me (STT, NESBA, etc.) offer instruction in the Novice group. It's usually pretty good, certainly good enough to get you out there with needed info and then someone to show you the lines. You could always take a school at a later time. Be prepared to become addicted and spend all your money on trackdays! |

| Re: Where do I start out.... getting on the track. I do Team Chicago every year during the first week of April at Grattan. It's 2 days (1 day of "basic" training and 1 day doing the track). For me, It's a warm up/refresher weekend for what lays ahead for the year.
Good luck and have fun doing it. |

I've seen VFRs at almost every trackday I've been to. |

| Re: Where do I start out.... getting on the track. CLASS or STAR are great places to start. The Viffer will be more than adequate too, they used to be used by CLASS actually.
If for some reason you need help with this project, I'm not too far away. |
