Putnam 9/9/06 (NESBA)

All .orgers drove away unscathed with no unplanned plastic modifications or soil samples. Lots and lots of red flags today. Most could/should have been yellow flags, one waa-mbulance ride for a rung bell. Great trip, great people and some great riding.

I'll post more of the story later and put the rest of the pics in the gallery. Right now I need food and a drink or two. I don't drink much so it'll probably be only one or two. Don't listen to what anyone else tells you, they're all liars.

For those that have been waiting, I snuck up behind CBRVFR and had this pic taken. He doesn't know about it yet but I'm sure I'm going to get my ass kicked when he does see it.

Good to hear everyone had a good day.

Don't feel to bad Dave that is how I feel standing next to Seamus also.

Did you test the lap timer Seamus? What kind of laps were you putting in?

I seen a 1:19 around lunch on his timer and Evl Twin turned a 1:16.

Getting supper cooked for the guys now, and a few refreshments to drink.

Wow great times for Intermediate. Sounds like they were near the front of the pack. Glad the laptimer if working good (figured it would but I am paranoid)

I was fortunate to escape with my life after much pleading and posted some pics from the weekend in my gallery. http://www.fireblades.org/gallery/br...p?c=774&userid=

Others are "unviewable" and some are being emailed as you read this.

It was a great weekend at the track and we all had a great time between the track time, singing mullets, cut off jeans and a Saturday Night Fever cast member.

It was great to meet CBRVFR, RAH-VFR, Frenchier 6 ( ) and to see evl twn, Kawboy and The Family Hammer again. This site has some really great people on it and I hope to be able to keep meeting more.

Sheep, I didn't use the laptimer, just a little joke. Didn't want to be distracted since I hadn't been on the track in 5 months and had some things I wanted to work on before I worry about my times. I plan on bringing it up on the 23rd or 24th so someone else who's riding can test it for me. It's probably for the best since CBRVFR was passing me on his motard (SV was only running on one cylinder), evl twn's bike passed me with a stunt riderClick image for larger version

Can't wait for Barber in November. Got some glitches worked out and I'm ready to meet up with everyone again and ride fast.

Lying to sheep what do y'all think you are Idaho farmers

Good story though as Hammer said EvlTwin was faster so 1:16 was possible. Not sure on times but you were running pretty quick at Talladega, Seamus.

Yep coming up both days. Planning on zipping out of here about lunch and getting to the hotel. I screwed up on that and got the wrong one by mistake and will have a hot tub but am north of Indy (meant to get by the airport).

I was watching video and realized one huge mistake I am making so hope to go sub 1:30 this time (turning into turn #1 way to early which likely also messes with #2 by making my angle wrong)

I messed up. I was unimpressed with (South) Americas Best and wanted something to soak the hide in a hottub on Saturday night. None on the exit have much so I looked to Indy. However when I searched I 'thought' I saw what was good and selected the wrong one by accident (thought it was the one by the airport instead it is on the north). So I looked and to cancel and change would have cost enough I said the heck with it. Not to bad just around the top of the loop vs the airport. A few minutes more on the way up but all interstate.

Re: Putnam 9/9/06 (NESBA)

You still have time to cancel that. Check the HI Express in Cloverdale. I found out they have $65/night rate if you mention Putnam Park. I didn't check for the hottub when I walked through (I was in the middle of some conman activities), but they do have a nice sized pool. Usually, when there's a pool, there's a hottub. I think I put the hotel info in the other Putnam thread. I'll link to it if I can find it.

edit: Here it is if you want it. http://www.fireblades.org/forums/514336-post32.html
