Yeah baby! 2 days at Homestead. As some of you might know I bought a track day from a member here (smooth transaction BTW

) for Sunday. I showed up on Friday night at the track and the STT guy was there. After I told them I was from Canada and drove close to 2000 miles they found a spot for me on Saturday too! All I needed to do is ride in the "A" group... Made me nervous at first but after the first session it all disappeared
Let just say I was REALLY happy with my riding. I was running consistent 1.41 with some 140.0 here and there and managed to pull a 1.38 on Sunday. Don't know if it's that good but I was doing pretty damn well in the "A" group. Passing more people than being passed (the ones that where passing me where doing it fast as hell thought

)
What a fun track, I mean it's all about fun, 2.21 miles of it. Not technical at all, wide and smooth. You can come wide and still make it, miss the apex and still do good. Turn one and 10 are crazy fast

it take a while to get use to it. But the more you get use to it the faster you can take them. Braking to get to 6 and 8 is also a lot of fun. So forgiving that you can try a lot of different lines. I learned a LOT this week-end, all by myself, just by trying so much different lines.
We had a severe crash on Saturday, severe enough to have the helicopter called in

. I think the guy is OK though as I talked to his brother this morning.... ALL the crash happened in the "A" group

All of them, and there was quite a few... I had a close call in the last session on Sunday and ended in the gravel but that's it.... The bike sunk into it and I just got the hell out of the way in case someone low sided where I was. The bike just sat there, standing up by itself while I was waving to Veronique "I'm OK darling". The red flag and not seeing me anymore scared the **** out of her.... (sorry honey

)
Over all, SUPERB wee-end.

to STT. Well organized track day! No track walk but the rest was well done. Real nice track with AWESOME facility.
A lot of pictures to come...........Going to bed for now.
Ho.... The repsol fairing and wheels are going on e-bay as soon as I'm back home. No more street for me
OK here are some pictures, thank to Veronica.
