I'm thinking of flying down. If we fly in the same day, perhaps we can share a rental car? We stayed at the Country Inn and Suites last time. It's close to the track and Kevin and the crew stay there as well, so I'm planning on staying there again. I recommend it! |

| Re: KSSS May 3rd and 4th I'll probably get in Wed late afternoon-evening, and I'll make reservations there if you recommend it. I'll be happy to split the car with ya. |

| Re: KSSS May 3rd and 4th Way cool! If I fly, I'll be getting in sometime on Wednesday as well, and leaving on Saturday morning, unless you need to leave Friday night. I could do that, too. Yup, Country Inn & Suites!!
Leaning heavily towards flying as it'd probably cost more in gas to drive! |

| Re: KSSS May 3rd and 4th Kevin Schwantz Suzuki School
It's at Road Atlanta.
There are several very good track schools, if you search the subject on this forum, you'll get a lot of first hand information. Soome are more street oriented, like Reg Pridmore's CLASS school, and some are life-changing performance schools like The Freddie Spencer school that Bwhip eloquently reported on and Kevin's school. |

Is there any way to gauge if/when that may3/4 date will sell out? I am jonesing to go and sooooooo jealous of you all right now

-jh | No, May is a good month. I spent waaaaay too many years sitting at Pocono in April, in sub 40 temps with rain, snow and fog. March and April aren't good track riding months in the northeast, not in my book. Waste of money to sit around freezing my ass off in the truck with the heater on. Tires don't warm up so good, either. At least that's been my experience. For what? To say I did x number of days this year? I'm into quality not quantity of days now. I did the 17+ days per season, but when you come right down to it, many of those, especially early in the season, were almost unridable days.
For the record, my street rides start by 8 at the latest! I love to ride!
Hard to know when KSSS will sell out, they don't tell you how close it is to selling out, but his classes always do. Maybe if you emailed them they could tell you how many of the 30 spots are still available? |

| Re: KSSS May 3rd and 4th You're right about Pocono... last year one of their April dates was rained out... I have pics somewhere of my buddy's bike, with icicles all over it. (thank goodness I wasnt there)
I meant going to VIR or warmer places. April 2 was spectacular in Danville last year.
I will email KSSS now and keep my fingers crossed.

-jh | An April trackday down south, someplace like Jennings, or even VIR, would work! Yeah, I saw the pics on the TPM site with the icicles all over the bike. That's not fun to me and a waste of money! Pocono just gets worse every year. |
