| Re: JenningsGP: 600RR.net Hi Charlie,
Nice to have met you. And CBR99XX. Hey XX thanx for letting me borrow your tank for refuel Man I really didnt talk you you much, cuz I was busy resting or riding. I only missed one session all day Saturday. And the final session KICKED my ASS. I could barely ride, I was exhausted. All I have to say is that Im hooked. It was awesome and everybody that was there was super nice. There were only 3 incidents if I recall. Only one of which damged a bike (RC51). Other than that it was awesome. I was gonna get some video, but beleive it or not...I for got the Camcoreder tapes. I did manage to get some pics along with the ones taken at the track. I remember after luch I was on track with like only 4 other riders. It was like I had the track all to myself. I ran off of turn one because I late braked and was going in too hot. Luckily it was there if it woulda been on the street I woulda been toast. I cant believe how fun and exiting it was, I scrubbed my tires in one session. I scraped my peg a couple of times, which actually freaked me out a bit, cuz I had removed my feelers and thought I would do that. I even got my knee down a bunch of times, I thought I wouldnt be doing that for like my 3rd track day or something. All in all it was awesome, I think my best time was 1:41 but that was with my brother timing me off the track. I dont think its all that bad. here is the link to my pics. Track days rule, 1 month to go till next trip. Track Pics |

| Re: JenningsGP: 600RR.net Is that your camcorder strapped on the back of your bike? *You should get a helmetcam and keep the camcorder tucked away in the trunk. *
Looks like it was fun...and the kids enjoyed it too! *

| Re: JenningsGP: 600RR.net with a good nights rest in me, here's the skinny ...
big time thanx to jetblast10 for putting the event on AND for letting me help out by being a CR in the beginners group.
thanx to NinerPilot for sending me his 929 wheels with the 208's mounted. *my fast lap for the weekend (1:25:79) was run on those tires along with consistent 27's-29's. *chris went above and beyond to help me out!
thanx to ccwilli3 for helping me in the pits with the wheel swaps. *his tools and knowledge came in very handy ... again.
thanx to cbr99xx for buying supper saturday nite. *very gracious. *he looked awesome on the track, especially with it being only his 3rd & 4th trackdays.
finally, thanx to the JenningsGP crew for their expert handling of the track. *those are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet!
a little more on the tires. *everything i had heard about them was true and thats the good and the bad. *straight line stability took some getting used to, but there's not much of a 'straight' at Jennings. *the bike turned in maybe even a little better than normal and it absolutely stuck like glue!! *by the end of the day there was a little slippage coming out of turns 10 & 11 (really one long left hander), but it was very predictable and managable. *the 208's did give much more feedback from the track surface. *running Jennings on the 207RR's and M1's made it feel as smooth as glass, but the 208's showed that its really a little rougher than that - however - there was never a handling issue, it just felt a bit different. |

| Re: JenningsGP: 600RR.net Thanks for the kind words Flasher.
I met some of the best people you would ever want to meet this last weekend at Jennings. I was there by myself and that is unusual for me... anytime I needed a hand with anything people were more than happy to help. I would encourage anyone out there who may be a little hesitant about going to one of these private track days to JUST DO IT. I was able to get in more than enough track time and the riders treated each other with respect on & off track.
I even had the opportunity to put some faces and names with some .orgers this weekend. I met Jetblast10, Flasher2001, ccwilli3 and Duke... I also met the current owner of Abtech's old 929... Earl, a super nice guy... as were all of the above named fellows. I never did take advantage of Flasher’s expertise (He is a very good & fast rider, and from what I hear a good teacher). I needed his help in turns five through nine but between learning to dodge RC51’s in turn one and my near high side on Saturday I decided to take it easy on Sunday (I will also bring two rear tires next time).
I had a great time and look forward to doing this again!

| Yeah, thats sick that he had grip until there was NO MORE RUBBER on the tire! That guy on the mille WAS AWESOME too! He passed me going into 3 and I was like 'you da man, go on wit yo bad self!'... Its cool to ride with faster riders, if only for a few seconds as they proceed to check out on you! |
