| Trackday tires for 929 I am in the market for new tires. Since my last set, Metzler SporTec M1's, I have gone from street riding to track riding. So I no longer ride on the street. I am an Intermediate rider and live in Phoenix AZ, so the tempiture is usually hot. I am not interested in a tire that would require tire warmers however, I am interested in the 190/55/17 profile. Any suggustions?
Thanks! |

| Re: Trackday tires for 929 I was on the 208GPA last season with no issues. Good grip, good feedback and plenty of warning when they are letting loose. Great tire IMO and the 209 are better than that for track days. |

| Re: Trackday tires for 929 Love the 209's as well. Warp up time will not be an issue in AZ. Any DOT tires will do just fine. I ran the 09's on many track and they always served me well. They last quite long for DOT tires too! |

| Re: Trackday tires for 929 Ok, I had my first trackday since mounting the 209's. After a few laps scrubbing them in they were flawless! I absolutely love these tires! Grip, feedback, everything was awesome. I only rode a half-day but there appears to be no wear to them. I would highly recommend these tires. |

| Re: Trackday tires for 929 ok thanks. I guess I have a lot of research to do before buying new tires.
I just want them to never slide and last for 20,000 miles. That shouldn't be to hard to come by. Right? |

| Re: Trackday tires for 929 I have Qualifiers on my 929. They warm up super fast and I have had no problems. On my second set right now. I usually run fast in the slow group or slow in the intermediate if that helps? |
