Re: Fireblades.org@Grattan II

UPDATED 11/13

Okay track fans, it looks like we have three days (June 28-29-30) tentatively reserved at this time. *We need to vote on whether we want to make this a 2 day or 3 day event. *We'll need a minimum commitment of 25 riders per day (can accomodate up to 40 riders per day) to make this happen and we'd prefer at least a 2 day commitment from everyone. *Please vote your choice in the poll. *As soon as we know who, what, when, and where we'll provide more details.

Members who say they will attend:

abtech
Red Rider
Heavy-Dee
figment
Baketech
nhfirefighter13
phozed
HondaGal
HondaGalToo
cbr99xx
DCEMotorsports
Latebraking
CBRVFR
G-Force Junkie
googolplexu
Slowpoke
oldgoat
vtr996
jetdude
BillAce

Tentative members:

Yellar
TCD
bwhip
grafixman
SuperDave

So far we have 20 people for sure with 5 more undecided. *

As for the rest of you, this will be a great opportunity to ride on a track in a controlled and safe environment. *All skill levels are welcome and you'll greatly benefit from spending a couple of days on one of the most technical tracks in the country. *Plus, you'll have fun meeting many of the Fireblades members. *Just ask anybody who was at the inaugural Grattan event about what a great time it was! *C'mon...we can make this happen! *

Count me in too...

Edit:
Just for your headcount purposes, while a 3 day event sounds fun, I am interested in just 2 days...

I'm in as well. With possibly one or two guests.

to add fuel to the fire....we were also considering the possibility of a 3 day event... I think... Abtech? Logistics too much for that or is it still a possibility?

Count me very interested.

Grattan is about 30 minutes outside of Grand Rapids, MI.

Edit: Might have an interested guest as well.. (Not Pete, so don't sweat it)

Re: Fireblades.org@Grattan II

Aww right! * *It looks like there is probably enough interest here to make this happen. *At this point we need to lock up the dates as soon as possible. *For now, I would guess that the June 28-29 dates are as good as any, but I think trying to stretch it into a 3 day event may be too difficult to get enough commitments for all 3 days to cover the costs. *Abtech, can you confirm that those dates are still available, what the total cost for the two days would run, and when we would need to have deposits in by? *Anybody else who has any suggestions or wants to help make this happen feel free to jump in here any time!

...And for those who want to know what it was like at the first Fireblades.org @Grattan event, check here. *I promise you it will be a great time both on and off the track!

Yeah, I made the trip in 2002. If I remember correctly, it was right around a 20-22 hour drive. It was a long haul but not nearly as long as the people from the West coast had. I think I speak for everyone, that made a long drive to get there, when I say that it was worth every mile. We had a blast!
