Two days will be enough for my poor wrists..

If people are travelling over the weekend, I can probably host a few.. I'm 2 hours East of Eden...er, Grattan.

Exactly!

I voted 3 day.

Reasoning...
It'll help make it worthwhile for people far away and it'll add a little flexibility for everyone else. Rained out on one day?? still have 2 left. Tired and want to sit out for awhile...plenty of time left to ride. can only do the 28th and 29th? how about the 29th and 30th?That's cool if we have enough people.
A 3 day event opens up more options for people, methinks.

Yep, if I'm driving all that way, may as make it 3 days, if available. If 3 days aren't available, I'll settle for 2!

Re: POLL: Fireblades.org@Grattan II

Although I am still crunching numbers, it appears that the total cost for 3 days INCLUDING lunch everyday (from a nearby Italian resturant) and a very nice dinner one day will be 350.00 for the entire package based on 25 to 35 participants. That boils down to 116.67 each per day.

I believe that is what several places charge for ONE day for a private controlled (by the members) event.

I hate to be the dickhead that asks....but if it becomes a 3 day event, will we have to sign up for all 3, or just 2 if we choose?

I'll let Abtech answer that, but I know we want to avoid 1 day only commitments if possible.

The package price Abtech quoted is the cheapest I've ever paid to get on the track at Grattan, and that usually doesn't include lunch. I can assure everyone that this will be a first class event!

Re: POLL: Fireblades.org@Grattan II

We can do that, but that is what this vote is for. *The pricing is going to be based on 3 days if that's what the majority wants, so the cost per day for only 2 days (if it is in fact a 3 day event) will be slightly higher (by maybe 10 or 15 bucks) per day.

If there were an easy way to put together say 10 riders that were going to do 2 days only, while 20 other riders were going for all three, we could split them in half and make the cost the same. *In other words, 5 riders would do Monday/Tuesday, while the other 5 did Tuesday/Wednesday, then this would meet the minimums for 25 riders for 3 days overall.

Unfortunately, people's schedules may dictate which 2 days they can make, so this may not be feasible.

What I need to avoid is a bunch of people asking to do ONE day and then needing to put all of that together. *It can be done, but the primary importance of this event will go in this order:

1: We have a safe, fun event with as many members as possible attending.

2: We all get to ride as much as we want.

3: Riders that want instruction and personal coaching will get it.

4: We pay all expenses from the individual rider attendance fees.

5: Everyone drives themselves home when it's over.

With three days, you may actually have the time to fix your bike and get back on track if you were to crash on the first or second day . . .

Gotta look at all three sides ya know.

Sorry about that...didn't mean to open a huge can of worms....

I like Abtech's suggested solution of have 2 & 3 day packages. But if push comes to shove, I'll just pony up the 3 day fee and stay for 2 days......

That's an excellent price! I usually pay close to that for a two day event without as much track time.
