What brake fluid???

My first track day and I was running very well, then on the last lap when I needed to scrub more speed, then brake lever hit the grip. Yes id cooked the fluid. Probably my bad technique, but still, I dont want it to happen again.

Equipment
-Titax adjustable shorty brake lever (set to middle "3" it went back to the grip)
-Castrol High performance DOT4 "cheapest castrol"
-Vesrah HH Sintered pads
-Hel Braided hoses

Allot of the Yank trackdayers are running Valvoline SynPower brake fluid, its cheap and very good, but I cant find it anywhere in the UK.

On the other hand Castrol SRF "arguably the best fluid" is cheapest in the UK at £40 1Ltr. Not a fluid for doing lots of brake bleeding.

Anyone know what UK "Limey" trackdayers commonly use?

Re: What brake fluid???

Ive put the Motul RBF600 in and although I havent been on track again yet, its feeling very strong on our fast runs.

Im sure its gonna hold up well to 5 laps of Anglesey Circuit UK on 18th Sept, I cant wait

Re: What brake fluid???

Also check your pads as they do that when they start to go off Further if you had head shake that could have knocked the pad back.
