| Re: Grattan Raceway Question I have heard several people discuss this at length, but when it comes right down to it, the same people that have at one time or another held the track record at Grattan can never get closer than a couple of seconds to their best times running clockwise (when running CCW). There is much less braking running CCW, but it also means that relative corner speed through some of the longer corners (Turn 1, 4, 10A) are down, meaning it takes more time to go the same distance. A downhill flip-flop at the end of the straight also catches it's fair share of non-believers who think that 10B (or turn 1 running CCW) can be taken WFO without any braking (just 3 downshifts). I would be one of those ex non-believers . . . |
