| Re: JenningsGP: What to do? Solution found! As you all know, we at one time had over 30 riders for the event. *In case you didn't know, the pricing for the event was based on 30 riders and if we had fewer, it would cost more or if we got more than 30, it would cost less. *I really did think we'd have no trouble getting 30 riders as most trackdays are 70-80 strong! *
Due to various reasons, people have had to drop out so I had to resort to other means. *I opened up the event to one day only riders to help cover costs, but it still is not enough, we got a lot of guys to sign up, but still need more. *
That brings me to the poll above. *What to do? *I am of the inclination that we take what money is left to be covered, divide it amongst ourselves and we each pay more, keeping the event a very small and intimate (settle down bubba! event. *We don't have to hope a bunch of riders show up saturday morning for the event and we don't have to hope and wish, by some miracle, I get a ton of riders signed up this week... *Thats my opinion, but I cannot speak for everyone when it comes to money. *I feel that the $233 for two days of riding was very very cheap. *I just paid $300 for the rogue event at VIR and we only had 20 minute sessions and there was 20 or more riders in our groups alone... *So, I for one believe that increasing the price to cover the event is no problem as I am used to paying much more, be it cornerspeed or NESBA events... *But as I said, i cannot speak for everyone.
I need some feedback, take the poll and post up here... *Let me know what you think. *I need some help. *I am coordinating the event, but I am not wholly responsible for every aspect of the decision making process related to this event.
Thanks, I'll of course be watching this thread and will be posting up to answer any questions of me...

ConqSoft : How much would dividing it be?
| Depends on how many I get between now and thursday. I fully expect to get about 3 or 4 more guys, but I don't know yet if they will be 1 day or 2 day people... Kinda complicates it further...
Let me do some calculations for how it stands right now... |

| Re: JenningsGP: What to do? Solution found! As it stands right now, if we divide it amongst the 2 day people only, it would be $90 extra per person. (A $320 two day event fee)
As it stands right now, if we divide it amongst everyone, if you go 2 days, add $76, if you go one day, add $38. That turns the one day guys into a $163 day (won't go over well at all I can see that already), and it turns the two day guys into a $309 two day cost...
Of course, every additional guy I add, those numbers drop.
And I should note, this does not include conqsoft's two day fee or anyone else's that I don't have check in hand for... I'm only going by who has paid already as that is the only sure thing I have right now...
Basically, we're $1,715 in the black. |

| Re: JenningsGP: What to do? Solution found! Yeah, it is already pretty cheap... Even the hotel should be cheap. Being my first track day I think a track with fewer people would be awesome. Just give me somebody smooooooth to follow sos I can do me some lernen. |

| Thanks for the feedback... Yes, the event is already damn cheap and the hotel is cheap, $39 a night, you can't beat that, and if you are sharing, is that much better.
I just sent out an email to participants. Keep the feedback coming. Thanks a lot! |

| Re: JenningsGP: What to do? Solution found! additional note: *With payment I just got from conq, It'll be $307 for the two day people, above I said $320... From 1700, to just under $1500 down now...
And thats if I get NO ONE else to signup, but i think I can score 3 to 4 more as I said, so I am thinking it'll be a bit less than $300 for the two day people when all is said and done... *
Okay, I ramble too much... * |

bubba : when will the decision be made? *I suggest NLT Tuesday afternoon, as a couple people will be leaving on Wednesday
| I was thinking tuesday afternoon as well. *I know NH is leaving on wednesday and I am not sure who else... *I have one gent that told me he'd know by tuesday. *So I am thinking cut if off on tuesday and go from there... *If we decide collectively to go the 'pay the difference route', I want to have a number $*for everyone by then as to what I'll need saturday morning. *
Thats based on the feedback so far. *I wanna give everyone a chance to speak their mind though... *To say what they think, I want EVERYONE's input on this... *Plus, I figure most people may not see this or get a chance to respond to this by monday or tuesday anyway, as they check from work, or I have their work email address on file, so I want them to have time to respond as well...
Keep it coming.
Thanks |

| Re: JenningsGP: What to do? Solution found! I voted for dividing the price amongst everyone and paying a bit more. We pay around $325 for 2 day events with the club we ride with, so anything around that price is excellent, especially considering that with the low number of participants, we'll be essentially getting double the amount of tracktime that you'd get at a 'normal' club's trackday. |

Also I got one of my attendings EZ-up. So if someone needs some shelter, come hang with the folks from G-Vegas. |

| Re: JenningsGP: What to do? Solution found! * *I'm ok with paying some extra $$ too. * *There will be loads of track time and well worth the additional $. *If we get more bodies, that'll be great and lessen the costs.
Even if no additional bodies are added, this is still not an unreasonable fee. *
* HGToo...nice picture of your Meyers parrot. * |

When I voted, there was no 'cancel' vote, so whomever voted after me voted no. I voted after I posted. Maybe you can check it out, Charlie. |

| Re: JenningsGP: What to do? Solution found! I agree that paying extra is the way to go. For me , it's less inconvient than having to change vacation days and reschedule. With any luck, some stragglers will throw in and and reduce the extra a little. Look forward to seeing all of you in Fla. Regards, Slowguy |

| Re: JenningsGP: What to do? Solution found! I saw a kid with a new silver/black R6 at AutoZone when I was purchasing oil for my car. I thought about seeing if he was interested in a track day. I didn't and saw him and a friend of his out riding in their t-shirts today...
The friend had a gixxer 6 or 750, couldn't tell since it had sharkskinz on it with primer paint.... hmmmmm |

| Re: JenningsGP: What to do? Solution found! Still working on recruiting a few extra people. Most likely 1 day only guys but I'm not giving up. I'll talk it up again at my local bike night and try to get some last minute response. Some people have problems with commitments. So far the 4 of us have no objection of paying a little extra. |
